Dear 2010, Quit boring me.

I’ve been getting up to lots of mischief in Brisbane, including losing in Monopoly, drinking too much alcoholic cider and developing my monotonous speaking voice. Behold, another vlog post! You know you’ve been waiting for it.

Umm to the people who still believe me from when I told them I was Mexican, I’m sorry I lied.

Books I mentioned:

Rhythm and Sorrow by Mel Ralph

Ask the Dust by John Fante

Neon Pilgrim by Lisa Dempster

Glad to see you back!

Bah – the fan on my laptop’s broken, and it’s whirring so loudly, that I can’t hear you at all! :(

Losing in Monopoly – ouch! Alcohol cider – yummy!

Sounds like you’re having a fantastic time. Enjoy the rest of your holidays!

So surprised you’ve done another vlog Elena! And hey, drinking too much isn’t a bad thing when you’re on holiday!

Really have to read ‘Neon Pilgrim’ now that you and Estelle over at 3000 books have given it so much praise :)

Ryan: Thanks dude! Hope you had a good Christmas and stuff

Anothercookiecrumbles: I was talking softly because I did it at 11.30pm and didn’t want to wake anyone haha

Kayleigh: Haha I’m surprised too! I hope you do read Neon Pilgrim :) Estelle’s review is much better than mine :P

Another successful vlog! Sorry I haven’t caught up with you as much as I wanted to since you have been back in Brisbane. Wanted to discuss books at the NYE party but didn’t get around to it :( I’m going to go buy Neon Pilgrim and I’ll let you know what I think though!!

Matt Z: Thanks ^_^ That’s cool, i was too busy eating the ‘eat me’ cakes to discuss books. I hope you enjoy it :)

I need to borrow the neon pilgrim when you’re done… puh-lease??? :)
btw apple cider rocks! New drink for the summer!
p.s. I’ve written this before listening to ur blog…

I mean vlog…

You look hot!
btw how’d you reverse the books? :0

I bought my new computer today – and that means I can finally watch your vlog without my computer having a fit!!

Okay, so first of all – I love the look of that zine! I’m very happy to hear that you’re focusing a little on zines this year, because i know nothing about them.

And we need to get you some books with some NICE men in them, okay? It’s alright to be a little cheesy every once in a while, just to get you out of this weird fascination.

And finally, I’ve finished “The No Excuses Guide to Soul Mates” and the review will be up either tonight or tomorrow.

Enjoy the rest of your time away!

Inez: You are so funny, you sure can borrow it, I’ll bring it to Melbourne with me next month. Reversed it in iMovie :)

Rebecca: Congrats on the new computer!! I’m also looking forward to discovering the zine world. As for the nice men, Mr Rochester was one of my first literary crushes, I wonder if this has something to do with it?

The zine looks cute and kinda dark, but in a good way. Glad you did another vlog Elena. :)

BrownGirl: Thanks dudette!
